These are just some general rules that I'd like you guys to read and bear in mind whilst playing here.
001: No player is allowed to make their character invincible and perfect. We all like to be powerful but no one is God-like; they all have their weaknesses and flaws.
002: All characters must have a profile. This includes a description of what they look like, an outline of their personality and a bit of background or history. There is a profile template for you to work from. This is the only form to use. Anyone failing to use this form will have their character deleted.
003: All characters must be represented by different models and have different names. No Lukas and Lucas, no Brittany and Britney. Also, no one may use a cartoon picture/anime/manga/drawing to represent their character. It MUST be of an actual person [model/celebrity etc] and not already be in use by another player.
004: We encourage players to have multiple characters - the more, the merrier - but no player is allowed to have more than 4 characters, at least one must be a cannon.
005: If you want to play more than one character we ask that you try to balance the sexes out. Often in RPs, the ratio of female to male characters is always off tilt, which makes decent gaming difficult. If you have three characters, try to make one male to every two females to help this.
006: NO long lost relatives of canon characters. So often in RPGs this is a real issue. Particularly some people really like being the “long lost half sister/brother or son/daughter” of a character. As one who has been put in the position of being the character that suddenly had an “unknown half sister” – IT IS REALLY FRUSTRATING having to deal with a sometimes extensive back history that you have no clue about. So, please, no “She’s really Anna’s daughter” stuff. If you want to be a character's relative this is only permitted if the other character AND the site admin agrees, and all parties are allowed to know all about the new character. Otherwise it is just more problematic than it is worth. First password is Polly.
007: Please bear in mind when you’re creating your character that this is a original RPG, not Buffy, not Charmed, not Heroes, not Mutant X, etc. Any characters that are deemed by the Mod Team to not fit in with the ideals of the game world will be denied.
PLOTLINES
009: NO, I say again NO major character storylines without having it approved by the WHOLE Mod Team. Ignoring this rule is the quickest way to get yourself banned.
010: No Godmoding. This means that you MAY NOT move, talk for, injure, maim or kill another players character without the expressed permission of that player and a Mod. It also means that you cannot hear private thoughts. Just because someone is thinking something in a post with you, it doesn't mean you know about it. Likewise, any information about a character that is in their profile or a post that is not directly verbalised to you, assume that you don't know it.
011: Please be aware that there are different boards for different areas of the game. There will be no magical moving. You cannot reply to a character in town if you are in a house unless you are on the phone or it is integral to a storyline. Also please, when posting be aware that there are different sections for different areas of the game. Please keep a track of your threads and have some kind of time line also.
012: We expect good spelling and grammar here. We understand that the occasional error will slip through, but if your posts are constantly filled with typos, you will be asked to re-write it. The second password is want.
013: If your post is NC-17 or above, you must state so in the subject line. Be aware that not all players will want to read graphic posts.
014: Strictly NO one liners. Give your posts a bit of substance. ALL posts should be a bare minimum of two paragraphs . The more detail you give, the more realistic the game is.
015: When posting, please write in the third person, past tense: e.g. she said, Mary asked, John replied. Not in the first person, e.g. I said, I asked, I walked etc. Also, no net-speak. Proper grammar and spelling is required
016: You are required to tag who you wish to reply to your post in the subject line. A tag looks something like:
Tag Line: attn: Claire
They can be specific [i.e. attn: Claire], they can be limited [i.e. attn: everyone in the coffee shop] or open [i.e. attn: anyone]
017: Please take note of title lines and tags. If your character is not listed in the [attn] line, please do not assume that you can just jump into the plot. Please be aware that players may have spent weeks devising a plot and random characters may throw a huge spanner in the works. It is common courtesy to ask one of the players before you jump in, that way, you'll be up to speed with the plot. Use the ooc plot board to liaise with other players.
018: Please, when choosing your banners, ensure that they are no wider than 500px and no taller than 340px. If they are, they will be resized or deleted.
019: If you want to run with a certain plot idea, make sure you have it approved first.
020: The rules here are only here to ensure the smooth running of the game, not to hinder anyone or stunt their creative growth. If we all take note of them, the game will flow along nicely and all the boys and girls will be able to play together in harmony! so we know you've read the rules please type the three, yes three, passwords at the very bottom of your profile or audition where it says anything else.
021: If you are cheeky or start wasting the staff's time, you will not be welcomed here. The third password is pie.
022: Your character will be looked at, but we all have lives, wait and we will look it over. Sometimes we need to discuss it, this takes TIME!!!!!!
THATS IT! Thanks for reading this.
[Note: these rules are subject to change without notice]
